Faberge-Inspired Pearl and Egg Earrings - Museum Reproductions
Carl Fabergé and his workshop created some of the most exquisite pieces of art and jewelry ever made! Perhaps his most famous creations were the Imperial Eggs, which were created as gifts for the Russian Czar and his family at the end of the 19th Century.
These little eggs are inspired by those gorgeous pieces and are made with glass crystals, gold plated pewter, and enamel. They measure about 1" long. Can also be made clip-on!
This egg features an overlay of gold cross hatches and a small freshwater pearl.
I have not come across historical examples of their famous eggs being made into jewelry historically, but I couldn't resist these!
This item was made by the Museum Reproduction Company, which partners with Museums to recreate historical items in their collections. A portion of the sale of these items goes back to support the museums where the original pieces are kept. Made in the USA!
