These simple earrings are based off the ones worn in the Portrait of Celeste Coltellini, Madame Meuricoffre by Antoine‑Jean Gros, circa 1790s from the Speed Museum of Art (see original here: http://www.speedmuseum.org/collections/portrait-of-celeste-coltellini-madame-meuricoffre/)

They are made with gold-plated brass beads in small and large sizes and mounted on my historically-accurate hoop earring findings. The hoops are gold-plated brass, naturally nickel-free!

Gold balls were a very common jewelry element from the 1790s-1830s. They are great for day wear or evening wear and work surprisingly well with everyday clothes, too!

These are smaller earrings, measuring about an inch long including the hoops.
