The design for this early 20th Century brooch is based on jewelry that was designed in 1902 and is today held in the collections of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

It's typical of the Art Nouveau movement which prized natural forms.

Gold-plated pewter and faux pearls.  Measures about 2" long.
