Girandole Earrings - Textured Golden and Pearls
These fun vintage metal pieces I found reminded me a lot of the Girandole earrings shown in this 1831 portrait of Amalie von Schintling by Joseph Karl Steiler.
These earrings measure about 2" long in total so they are perfect for styles with lots of curls or braids around the face like in the Regency or Early Victorian periods. They are made with a golden-colored metal and a glass pearls.
They are shown here with leverbacks, but can also be made with hoops or clip-on findings.
As the main metal pieces themselves are vintage I am unsure of the metal content, so it is possible they can contain nickel. The earring findings themselves are nickel-free, but if you have a severe nickel allergy I would not recommend this style.
