Lucy Farnsworth's Victorian Drop Earrings - Museum Reproductions
These bright and bold earrings are replicas of earrings that were worn by 19th Century art collector and benefactor Lucy Farnsworth and are now owned by the Farnsworth Art Museum. The exact date these were made is unknown, but they are typical of mid-late 19th Century pieces.
They are Gold plated pewter and these are quite large earrings, as was fashionable during the era. They measure about 2.5" long including the ear wires.
This item was made by the Museum Reproduction Company, which partners with Museums to recreate historical items in their collections. A portion of the sale of these items goes back to support the museums where the original pieces are kept. Made in the USA!
