Shell Pearl Teardrop Earrings - Elizabethan, Georgian, Victorian

These are perhaps the most versatile earrings I offer.  Big pearl dangles have been popular pieces of jewelry for hundreds of years!

These are similar to my super-popular Regency pearl earrings, however these are made with large shell pearls. Shell pearls are made from the same material as real pearls so they have all the quality and sheen of Pearls without the expense of Pearls of this size! I was very excited to come across a string of large teardrop shaped shell pearls, and I knew they would be perfect for these earrings!

The hoops are a high-quality brass that has been plated with Gold, Antique Gold, Silver or Antique Silver and they have a strong, secure clasp on them. These are historically accurate findings but they are also available as a clip-on screw-back style. They are so much fun to wear, with the pearl dancing and swinging. They are fabulously versatile from historical use to everyday wear!

These earrings hang about 1.5" long and the pearls themselves are about 16mm long.
