I've always adored this portrait from 1767 of Mrs. George Turner by the incomparable Jonathan Singleton Copley. Her jewelry is so lush, so stunning! It was one of the images that made me want to make historical jewelry, so I'm thrilled that I am finally able to offer this beautiful reproduction!

This necklace features VERY large stones- it is a real statement piece, just like the original. Each stone is 25mm long (almost a full inch), and features a central dangle with that is close to 2 inches long. The necklace is very short- about 14 inches long - and is finished with rings at the back.  This allows you to run a ribbon through them and tie them at the neck, as was done in the 18th Century. Please let me know if you are interested in customizing with a more traditional clasp finish.

This piece is made with custom made settings that I had specifically produced to create this necklace. It is a totally exclusive Dames a la Mode piece! The settings are a heavy cast brass that has been richly Gold plated. This piece can also be ordered with other finishes- please contact me for details! The stones are bright Sapphire blue vintage crystals in the same rich blue as the inspiration image.
