Renaissance Gold and Pearl Hoop Earrings

In my research on Renaissance jewelry, I came across many images of earrings that feature a ribbon tied to the top of a pearl or dangle.  What a great way to bring extra color or coordination into your outfit!  I played around with styles and found that adding an extra large jump ring provided a great place to anchor a ribbon. 

These feature a bright gold-plated bead and a natural freshwater pearl dangling beneath a loop that you can use to tie a coordinating ribbon (not included).  I'd recommend something 1/8" - 1/4" in width, though a soft ribbon of a larger size could work as well, depending on the effect you want! 

Available with a hoop (show in the images and portrait), leverback, or clip-on findings.
