Edwardian Turquoise Pendant Necklace - Coral, Pearl, Turquoise Teardrop
When I saw this portrait pop up in my social media feed, my jaw fell open! Several months ago I was sent some massive Shell Pearl beads in a beautiful Turquoise Blue color. They were lovely, but rather large for my usual historical jewelry needs.
And then Mr. Sargent showed me what to do with them :)
This 1903 portrait of Mrs. Charles Pelham Curtis by John Singer Sargent is obviously my inspiration.
The stone is a Shell Pearl pendant hung on an 20" gold-plated belcher chain. The length of this necklace is adjustable to about 14" long. The pearl is quite large, just like the inspiration image, and is about 20mm long.
Also available with a Shell Pearl in Coral pink or a Bisque color.
