Shell Pearl Necklace - Double Strand with Double Teardrop
This listing is for a reproduction 18th Century necklace made with medium white Shell Pearls. Shell Pearls are beads made from the nacre of Pearls so they have the weight and shine of real Pearls without the high cost. There is a large shell Teardrop bead on each strand. The round beads are 8mm.
Two strands of of pearls are featured in this necklace, with one short (13") strand and one longer strand for a tiered effect. This may also be layered with other necklaces for a more dramatic look, as is shown in the picture of Shasta. She is wearing this necklace along with a single strand which is shown in more detail here: https://www.damesalamode.com/products/shell-pearl-necklace-medium-single-strand?_pos=3&_sid=32db6ec52&_ss=r
This short necklace (13") is finished with two rings on the end, which you run a ribbon through to tie it on. 18th Century necklaces were meant to be worn very short on the neck in a true choker fashion, so the ribbons allow it to be totally adjustable to your neck. Ribbon is NOT included, but if you would like to add some I have many options available in the millinery shop: .75-1.5" ribbon is best for this item: https://www.damesalamode.com/collections/the-millinery-shop
